English language teaching

I am Areej Hammaday, an English Tutor, a TESOL certified teacher, a freelance Translator, a Kato Verified Translator, and a content creator. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the English language Department, in the specialization of English Translation from The Open Learning Center of Tishreen University with an average mark of 74 and avery good order of merit. Having a great passion for teaching English, I pursued learning at the Syrian Virtual University, and now I have an Educational Habilitation Diploma with an average mark of 80.13 and an excellent order of merit and graduated third in my class. I also have a TESOL certificate from Arizona State University that allows me to teach the English language to speakers of other languages. I have been teaching English since 2014 to students of all levels and ages. Throughout my career I have adopted a combination of two teaching styles dependent on the students I am teaching. One of my most effective methods is the communicative language teaching style where I teach the English language based on the types of situations of my students that they find themselves in whilst going about their daily lives. I find this to be highly effective because the students can then put into practice what they have learnt once they leave the classroom. The second style I have used is hybrid style where I teach the subject using my knowledge and my life experiences whilst staying within the boundaries of the curriculum. This enables me to be flexible based on the educational needs and learning styles of the students I am responsible for. Now, I am about to design my own curriculum which will be based on the most recent English language teaching researches.
